The Slider Plugin is a great way to showcase images. If you’re creating an app that’s very visual heavy, like a portfolio or you’d like to showcase more product images, then the Slider Plugin could be a powerful tool for you. You can control the slideshow speeds and the image size to your liking.
Pro Tip 1:
Speed level 1 mimics the speed at which our templates’ image carousels move. Use that if you like how that looks.
Pro Tip 2:
If at anytime you’d like to change the order of the images, simply click on the three bars to the left of the image and drag the images to the desired position.
Pro Tip 3:
Get creative with what images you can use here! They can also showcase the food at your restaurant, include daily inspirational quotes, or could tell a sequential story.
Hi there! And welcome to our Image Gallery and Info Slider Plugin video.
If you haven’t done so already, please be sure to watch our 2-Minute Overview video first before moving onto any other help videos, including this one.
Now, onto the Slider Plugin.
- The Slider Plugin allows you to showcase your images in an image gallery or use it to provide slide-by-slide instructions.
Creating a Slider Plugin
To add a Slider plugin to your app, go to Plugins and Add Plugin. Find the Slider Plugin, click add, then name it.
You’ll see three tabs: Content, Design, and Settings.
Content is where you can add your images. Simply click on Add Image, select an image from your Media Library or upload one from your computer. You can pretty much have as many images as you’d like.
Under the Design tab you can choose whether the carousel is Widescreen or Fullscreen. Choose whichever type works best with your images.
Under Settings you can decide on the speed of your carousel. At 0 they won’t move. 1 is the fastest speed while 99 is the slowest.
Adding the Slider Plugin to Your App
Now the plugin has been created and exists, but is not yet accessible to users. You will need to add it to the app on the Home Plugin, in a Folder Plugin, and/or to the Side Menu. To add it to the Home Plugin, go to Home Plugin, scroll down and click “Add Plugin Instance”. Now select the Slider Plugin you created. To add it to a Folder Plugin, navigate to the Folder Plugin and click on “Add Plugin Instance”. To add it to the Side Menu, go to Plugins then Side Menu and click on “Add Plugin Instance”.
Your Slider Plugin is now accessible within your app. Don’t forget to click Publish to push out your changes. If you haven’t upgraded, please upgrade so that you can publish your changes. Thank you so much for watching. Be sure to check out our other Help Videos and we’ll see you next time!
