Loyalty Plugin Tutorial

Our built in Loyalty Plugin is a great system that allows your users to accumulate points and redeem these points for specials and incentives that you offer.Unlike other “punch card” systems, our Loyalty Plugin works for any type of business because it allows you to set any and all promotions that you want and associate a redemption point value that you feel is appropriate based on profit margin and availability.

Pro Tip 1: Push Notifications
Utilize the Loyalty Plugin with push notifications to drive traffic and response. Remember, you can add new items, change point redemption values, and point accumulation values at any time. For example, let’s say you typically give 50 points per visit and 10 points per dollar spent. Perhaps today you’d like to give 100 points per visit and 20 points per dollar spent between 2PM and 4PM. Simply change the amounts in the back office, then use a push notification that goes out an hour before that says “Come in between 2-4PM and get 2x points for your visit and each dollar spent!”

Pro Tip 2: Using Loyalty for Lead Generation
In addition to a loyalty program, your loyalty plugin will also act as a lead generator. This is because in order to accumulate points, your users will need to setup an account. Once they do, you will be able to export their data under “Users”.

Pro Tip 3: Using the WYSIWYG
You can use the WYSIWYG to embed images, video, and forms. This means that if you have a barcode or QR code that you would like users to scan to redeem the reward, you can add it in the item’s WYSIWYG. Check out the “Working with the WYSIWYG” tutorial video to get more information and best practices.

How to Setup Loyalty:
1A. If the loyaltyplugin is not already in place, click “Add Plugin” in the menu and then click the Loyalty Plugin.
1B. If the loyalty plugin is already in place, click “Add Plugin” in the menu and then click the Loyalty Plugin.

3. Fill in the following fields:
– Upload a top image
– Set “Rewards Per Visit”: credits extra points for each point accumulation transaction.
– Set “Rewards Per Dollars Spent”: credits points per dollar spent.

– Set “Redemption Passcode”: creates a secure environment so that users cannot add points to their own account. This can be changed at any time.

4. Create your deals and click “Publish”.

5. Promote often!

If you haven’t done so already, please be sure to watch our 2-Minute Overview video first before moving onto any other help videos, including this one.

Now, onto the Loyalty Plugin.

  • The Loyalty Plugin allows users to accumulate points and then redeem them for rewards at whatever point value you’d like to offer them.

Creating a Loyalty Plugin

To add a Loyalty plugin to your app, go to Plugins and Add Plugin. Find the Loyalty Plugin, click add, then name it.

You’ll see that there are 3 tabs here: content, design, and settings.

On the content tab, you can change the plugin icon, title, and whether or not it requires a login. Requiring a login means the user will have to create an account in order to access it. You can also insert an image and some text here. Please see our Text Plugin video for more information.

If you scroll down, this is where you can control the following quantities: Points per purchase, points per dollar, the daily and total limit someone can earn, as well as the passcode for adding points.

Below that is a button for adding new rewards to your loyalty program. If you click on “Add New Reward”, you’ll be taken to a screen to create your reward. The images and text are optional, but what is required is that you give it a title and the amount of points the user must accumulate to redeem it. Don’t forget to click done at the bottom to save it.

Under Design, you can change the layout style of your rewards and add background images.
